The equivalent of roughly 27.000 trees are flushed down the toilet worldwide every day, The 16 million trees cut down for this shitty (pun intended) purpose represents 15% of global deforestation. Most of these toilet paper rolls come rolls come wrapped in plastic (again adding to those 8 million tons we send to the ocean) which is made from oil adding to global warming in more than one way.

•Choose a toothpaste that does not come in a plastic tube, choose metal or glass jars, or choose toothpaste bits in jars or paper bags.
•Don't go for traditional mouthwash in a plastic bottle. Choose a mouthwash in tablet form that you dissolve in water instead.
•Do not use plastic toothbrushes. Choose a biodegradable bamboo brush instead.
•Extend the life of the plastic brushes you have by soaking in vinegar and boiling them, especially good for electric toothbrush heads.
Bite
Newsflash! Toothpaste doesn't have to come in a tube. It also doesn't have to be full of artificial dyes and flavors. Bite toothpaste bits are made with natural and vegan-friendly ingredients and come delivered in a refillable glass jar. Refill bits are shipped in compostable packaging. Unpaste
Unpaste sells their tabs in bulk in your favorite package free shop, or in a certified compostable packet with 125 in each. Made in the US using no preservatives, SLS, sodium sacharin, artificial colors, aluminum or nano particles. It's vegan and cruelty free. Pop, chew, brush. You can find them at Well Earth Goods.
Humankind
The first order of mouthwash from Humankind comes delivered with a glass cup for easy measuring and a refillable silicone tablet holder that goes on top. Pick your color and flavor (peppermint, mint-lemon, ginger, or mixed if want some variety in your life) and decide if you want a subscription or buy as you go. Refills arrive in a compostable pouch made from kraft paper and a sugar-based pbat lining . Each time you refill, you eliminate 2.91oz of single-use plastic waste (vs. the typical single-use plastic bottle).
Humankind also does refillable biodegradable dental floss as well as beauty and cleaning products.
Out of the dental brands on the market Georganics has the largest selection with a product range that includes four different toothpastes (paste in a glass jar, tooth powder, tooth tablets and tooth soap), two different kinds of mouthwash (oil pulling mouth wash in an aluminum bottle and mouthwash tablets) they also carry natural sugar free chewing gum (in glass jars or refills in recyclable/compostable kraft containers), biodegradable dental floss, bamboo toothbrushes and they have an electric toothbrush. The toothbrush is plastic and so are the brush refills BUT electric toothbrush brushes are not used with the same force as a regular toothbrush and can last for a long time if taken care of properly. Simply soak in a 50/50 vinegar water solution over night and then boil for ten minutes every few weeks or as needed. As long as your bristles are working well you can extend the life of the brush this way. Bamboo toothbrushes
Remember that yellow toothbrush you had when you were four? That still exists today and will for a long long time to come. Instead of choosing a plastic tooth, go for a bamboo toothbrush and help diverting 4.7 million plastic toothbrushes from landfill every year. Reel paper makes their TP and kitchen rolls out of bamboo, it is ink- and dye free and delivered to your door in a recyclable box, plastic free on a monthly or as you need basis. Bamboo toilet paper by Seedling is made from Panda friendly bamboo (meaning no Pandas went hungry due to their toilet paper production). The rolls are jumbo with 20% more paper than some other bamboo paper brands. Seedling works with the Arbor Day Foundation to replant forests across the US. One tree is planted for every 100 rolls sold. The packaging is plastic free, made from recycled and recyclable paper. You can order them from The Grove Collective.
Cloud paper is a more eco friendly toilet paper made from Bamboo. They work with Food Lifeline who distributes food and essential goods to 300+ food banks and shelters in their community. Who gives a crap
Who gives a crap actually gives a crap. They are a certified B Corp and donate 50% of their proceeds to build toilets to provide proper sanitation. Their toilet rolls are made from 100% bamboo or from recycled paper (you choose), are wrapped in beautiful paper tissue (We are not joking-You can wrap presents in it.) and comes delivered straight to your door.
